Buyable Battlegear
Patch 2.4 brought a new source of blue gear for everyone. Slightly modified versions of Season 1 Arena gear are now available for modest amounts of cash. (No Honor or Arena points needed!) There are 5-piece sets (helm, shoulders, chest, gloves, pants) for every class - and in some cases multiple sets for each class. Each piece is sold (for 11-23g) by a different faction quartermaster; each requires Honored status with that faction.
The sets, unsurprisingly, have something of a PvP orientation (most obviously in the presence of Resilience on every piece), but even for PvE this could be a useful way to fill up the holes in your wardrobe or a quick source of alternate gear (a healing set, for example) for those occasions that require a change from your character's usual role.
Also unsurprisingly, some pieces are better than others. Noteworthy are the gloves, which in each set have a distinct and somewhat quirky benefit. The Mage and Shaman gloves seem particularly useful, but all of them are worth checking out.
