The Argent Tournament
Sunreaver Quests
A Guide to the Dailies
Patch 3.2 (8/4/09) added a new set of daily quests for those characters that have attained exalted reputation with The Sunreavers. All of these quests start and end inside Sunreaver Pavilion [76,24], the Horde tent in the southeast corner of the Argent Tournament Grounds. (See Map1.)
(Naturally, there is a corresponding set of quests for Alliance characters exalted with The Silver Covenant. Unsurprisingly, those quests start and end in the Silver Covenant Pavilion.)
These quests are available only if you are level 80, exalted with The Sunreavers, and a champion of at least one city faction from doing Argent Tournament quests. Put differently, to get any of these quests, you must have the achievement: The Sunreavers.
Despite persistent errors on both Wowhead and thottbot, the cash reward at level 80 for each of these quests (except, oddly, Rescue at Sea, which pays less) is the same: 13g23s. Not 7g40s, not 7g40s + 13g23s. Just 13 gold 23 silver.
Girana's Quests
Every day, Girana the Blooded in Sunreaver Pavilion offers two of the following quests. (Her Alliance counterpart, Narasi Snowdawn, offers essentially the same quests in the Silver Covenant Pavilion.)
You've Really Done It This Time, Kul
Rescue quest to Deathspeaker's Watch [62,21], west of the Argent Tournament Grounds. (See Map2.)- Rescue Kul the Reckless.
- Free 4 Captive Aspirants.
- Go to the quest area west of the Argent Tournament Grounds.
- Kill Dark Zealots or Dark Ritualists, and loot Black Cage Keys from their bodies. (The drop rate is decent but not 100%.)
- Kul the Reckless is in a Black Cage [60,23] at the far north end of a raised platform on the south edge of the quest area, very near Doctor Kohler.
- Captive Aspirants can be found in Black Cages throughout the quest area.
- To free Kul or an Aspirant, simply right-click a Black Cage. (You must be close, and you must have a Black Key for each Black Cage.)
- Clicking on an open - and therefore empty - cage does not consume a key, but it doesn't accomplish anything, either.
- Return to Girana in Sunreaver Pavilion.
- 13g23s
- Champion's Seal.
- This quest is offered every day.
- Do this quest with Taking Battle to the Enemy, a Champion daily from Cellian Daybreak (or this version, for Death Knights, from Zor'be the Bloodletter).
- Do this quest with Darkspeaker Kharos, a Crusader daily from High Crusader Adelard, if you qualify and it is available.
A Leg Up
Collection quest to Hrothgar's Landing, a large island north of Icecrown, for 10 Stolen Tallstrider Legs.- Fly north to Hrothgar's Landing. It is north of Icecrown (with a map of its own) but is just north of the northernmost [71,2] of two small islands visible on an updated map of Icecrown (roughly here on an old map).
- Stolen Tallstrider Legs are scattered throughout the area in plain sight. Pick up any you find.
- If you are attacked by a Kvaldir (and sooner or later you will be), kill it and loot a Stolen Tallstrider Leg from the body. (Astoundingly, the drop rate appears to be 100%.)
- Repeat 8 times.
- When you have collected your quota of 10 Stolen Tallstrider Legs, return to Girana the Blooded in Sunreaver Pavilion.
- 13g23s
- Champion's Seal.
- This quest is not offered every day.
- Do this quest with whatever Crusader daily from High Crusader Adelard is available and appropriate:
- Drottinn Hrothgar (a killing quest)
- Mistcaller Yngvar (a killing quest)
- Ornolf the Scarred (a killing quest).
Rescue at Sea
Killing quest to the (friendly) Sunreaver ship, the Firehawk. (Aim for a point [67,1] on the very north edge of the Icecrown map, almost due north of the Alliance ship, the Silver Blade [66,8]. See Map3.)- Kill 8 Kvaldir Berserkers
- Kill 3 Kvaldir Harpooners
- Fly north and slightly west from the Argent Tournament Grounds, over the sea, to the Firehawk. It's the west (farthest left) ship [43,53] of the trio of ships already marked on the new map of Hrothgar's Landing.
- The Alliance version of the quest goes to a different ship, the Wavecrest [50,49], the east (farthest right) ship of that same trio of ship marks.
- Land and start killing Kvaldir - the big, gray attackers. (You'll be helping - and be helped by - the blood elves defending the ship.)
- The more numerous Kvaldir Berserkers carry axes.
- Kvaldir Harpooners carry spears.
- Neither kind of Kvaldir can be looted.
- When you have killed your quota of both sorts of Kvaldir, return to
Girana in Sunreaver Pavilion.
- If you have trouble getting out of combat, move to the edge of the ship, go into one of the enemy ships, or swim away. Once you are out of combat, you can return to one of the ship's ramps to mount and depart.
- 9g93s
- Champion's Seal.
- This quest is not offered every day.
- Do this quest with whatever Crusader daily from High Crusader Adelard is available and appropriate:
- Drottinn Hrothgar (a killing quest)
- Mistcaller Yngvar (a killing quest)
- Ornolf the Scarred (a killing quest).

- This quest is not offered every day.
- Do this quest with whatever Crusader daily from High Crusader Adelard is available and appropriate:

Cleanup quest to Hrothgar's Landing, a large island north of Icecrown, to perform the last rites for 8 Slain Tualiq Villagers.- Fly north to Hrothgar's Landing. It is north of Icecrown (with a map of its own) but is just north of the northernmost [71,2] of two small islands visible on an updated map of Icecrown (roughly here on an old map).
- Appropriate corpses are scattered throughout the area.
- Find the corpse of a Slain Tualiq Villager, and move within 10 yards of it.
- Click the quest icon representing the (provided) Confessor's Prayer Book.
- Repeat 8 times.
- Return to Girana the Blooded in Sunreaver Pavilion.
- 13g23s
- Champion's Seal.
- This quest is not offered every day.
- Do this quest with whatever Crusader daily from High Crusader Adelard is available and appropriate:

- Mistcaller Yngvar (a killing quest)
- Ornolf the Scarred (a killing quest).
Tylos Dawnrunner's Quests
Every day, Tylos Dawnrunner in Sunreaver Pavilion offers one of the following quests. (Her Alliance counterpart, Savinia Loresong, offers essentially the same quests in the Silver Covenant Pavilion.)
Breakfast of Champions
Collection quest to the Foot Steppes for 4 Jormungar Egg Sacs. (See Map4.)- Go to the Foot Steppes, the circular plain surrounding the Engine of the Makers (basically a large hole in the ground) in central Storm Peaks.
- Find and approach a Mysterious Snow Mound. (They're small and resemble large snowballs.)
- When very close to a mound, use the provided Earthshaker Drum to summon a Deep Jormungar.
- Kill the jormungar (a large wyrm) and loot a Jormungar Egg Sac.
- If a Stormforged Marauder appears, kill it or run away.
- Repeat steps 2-4 until complete.
- Return to Tylos Dawnrunner in Sunreaver Pavilion.
- 13g23s
- Champion's Seal.
Gormok Wants His Snobolds
Easy collection quest to the southern Storm Peaks to capture 8 Snowblind Followers.- Fly to the southern part of the Storm Peaks, just northeast of K3, where streams of Snowblind Followers, punctuated by occasional magnataurs, run westward. (See Map5.)
- Land in the middle of such a stream, or between two streams, and face east, toward the onrushing horde. (Do not attack anything.)
- Target a Snowblind Follower as it approaches, and click the icon for the provided
Weighted Net. After a moment, your quarry will be captured. Simple!
- If you face west and try to capture them as they run past you, they will tend to get out of range before the netting process is complete.
- Although netting a follower puts you "in combat" for a second or two, you won't be attacked, and you need not fight anything.
- Repeat until you have captured your quota.
- Return to Tylos Dawnrunner in Sunreaver Pavilion.
- 13g23s
- Champion's Seal.
What Do You Feed a Yeti, Anyway?
Collection quest to the North Sea for 3 pieces of North Sea Shark Meat.- Fly north to the Horde ship, the Golden Dawn [74,9]. (See Map6, although its depiction of the North Sea is now outdated.)
- Right-click on a sparkling tub to get the shark bait ("chum") you need.
- Go into the water near the ship, and right-click the chum.
- If a shark appears, kill it and loot a piece of North Sea Shark Meat.
- If you are in a group, everyone in the group will be able to loot a piece of meat from each shark.
- If an Angry Kvaldir appears, kill it. (This does not help your quest progress; it is merely an obstacle. The Kvaldir can't even be looted.)
- Repeat steps 3-4 until you have collected 3 pieces of North Sea Shark Meat.
- Return to Tylos Dawnrunner in Sunreaver Pavilion.
- 13g23s
- Champion's Seal.
